COVID-19 Intervention

The year 2020 has been a remarkable year for humans all over the world, presenting us with unusual challenges and opportunities, and testing our humanity, discipline and commitment to community engagement and sustainability.

A few weeks into the lock down initiated by the governments at state and federal levels, we initiated and supported a series of interventions designed to support communities with food supplies, protective gear; and governments with medical equipment to aid institutional response to the COVID-19 outbreak specifically in Delta and Ogun States.

Food & Medical Intervention Support for Delta State

In April, we collaborated with other petroleum depot operators in Delta State, Nigeria to provide food and medical equipment (ventilator equipped ambulances and PPE kits) worth 100 million Naira for front line workers and to support the state’s community intervention program.

Food & Medical Intervention Support for Ogun State

A month later, we partnered with our sister company – Ardova Plc – to support Ogun State, one of the states with the earliest and highest number of cases of COVID-19 in the country. We provided a fully equipped ambulance to support the state government’s response effort.

We also provided 24,000 food parcels to support the state’s food shortage intervention for the poor in communities.

Other Contributions

  • 50 Million Naira support to the NNPC’s fund towards provision of medical supplies and health facilities setup across the federation.
  • 5.5 Million Naira to the Nigerian Handball League federation to support players, coaches and the commission’s board.
